Chaozhou is in Guangdong province. It is a city with quite a long history. In the old time of China, people considered southern China, especially Guangdong as a wild place, where no one would love to go. So it was a place for the central government to send people who did something wrong inside the government as a punishment. But today, Chaozhou is not a wild place anymore. However, it is such an old town where you can experience quite a lot of Chinese culture.
