"My Once Upon a Time Home" Bangladesh by Zisch

I spent 15 years in Bangladesh, In Dhaka in particular. This page is not so much a where to go and what to do as I doubt very much I can provide any up to date information. Yet, with that said, the purpose of this page is more to convince you that Bangladesh is worth a visit. I have heard that crime is on the rise and that most of the places I remember so fondly no longer exist. But that is the way of the world, things, like people, come and go. All I need to remember about my first home is always with me in my memories.

I lived in a few places in Dhaka, as my parents seemed to have a penchant for moving. First in Gulshan and then two residences in Banani. The last one, on Rd 18 is where we spent the longest time, I lived there for ten years. If anyone could let me know, who is in Dhaka at the moment, if the house is still there, I would be most grateful - Rd. 18 Hse.38/J Banani. It is on the corner, has 2 entrance gates and is red brick. Strange, really to have an attachment to a house!
