Monterey is a very nice, quiet town about 3 hours south of San Francisco. We spent only one day there, so I can't really give much in-depth info. It is rather expensive though, so for a budget traveller like us, it was best to stay somewhere outside the town, and then drive into town for the day.
Monterey is definetely not a "party-town", but rather a place to enjoy the peace and quiet, take long walks on the beach etc. And of course, there's the world-famous aquarium.
I wonder what would Monterey do without the aquarium.... hm... |
