"LA, the city of..." One really has to think about that old saying, "LA, the city of Angels." LA is a lot of things. In many ways it is very progressive, but in some ways it is disparate place. And it is a place that I never wanted to visit and thought that if I ever did, I probably would not like it.
Well, I got my chance to go, several times, in the late 1990s for work. I guess I should say that I had to go and not that I merely got the chance to go. After all, traveling for work is somewhat mandatory in certain situations.
Anyway, I discovered LA had a lot of redeeming qualities and in the end was a place that I really enjoyed visiting. |
