I found myself in Aberdeen twice during 2003, two weeks in January and four weeks May; I actually spent more time in Aberdeen Scotland the first six months of 2003 than I did at home in New Orleans and some could argue that I am a better person for it as well (spent more time in Africa too, but that's a different story). Anyway, the only real difference being in Aberdeen in January versus May is the hours of daylight. In May, the sun comes up around 4:30 in the morning and sets around 9:30 or 10:00 at night (oh, and it's a little warmer). Even on those days when I wasn’t suffering from a hangover, sunlight at 4:30am is not good, but you can’t beat daylight until 10pm…
