I don't care what anybody says, but if you're planning on visiting this city, you must make time to go up the CN Tower at least once. I agree,...looking like a giant cement swizzle-stick it may not be the prettiest chunk of architecture in the city, and sure it's a little pricey (about $25 for the complete ride up) and yes, the food's really not all that great in the revolving restaurant, but think of the view! We're talking about the tallest freestanding structure in the world here! Besides, I've heard that if you drool from the observation deck, that magic spittle will apparantly become the equivalent of a 20lb cannonball,...think about that when you spy that little red Miata way down there below you. :o) I've said it before and I'll say it again: It's the tallest freestanding structure in the world, so give it a peek, ja?

The Toronto Molson Indy C.A.R.T race. July - 09-10-11 2004. If you like events that are loud, exciting and filled with colourful, shiny objects hitting crazy speeds in a clockwise direction then the Molson Indy is for you. :o) If you can't make it here for these dates, then there's also the Vancouver Indy - July 23-24-25, or the Montreal Indy - Schedule to be confirmed. This all depends of course on if they can get their act together this year or not,...find a major event sponsor, and not let the I.R.L buy them out.

Visiting the Art Gallery of Ontario, or: A.G.O to those in the know. :o) Apart from being the 8th largest art museum in North America, it also houses the most comprehensive public collection of Henry Moore sculpture.(note the bronze in the photo's foreground) My friend Jelena from Germany, who has personaly visited just about every major art gallery in the world, has placed the AGO high on her top ten list of favorites. That's saying quite alot, because Lordy is she ever snooty. Damn Germanic artsy's. ;o) The A.G.O is to undergo a major 195 million dollar re-design which is to be completed by the Fall of 2007 and the new titanium & glass look will be created by non other than the internationaly renown, Toronto born architect Frank Gehry. A new look and 40% more gallery space all designed by Gehry? It'll be incredible.

For 1 week within the month of June, various communities around the city set up Pavilions showcasing their respective countries with local food, drink and entertainment. Visiting these spots require a pre-purchased "Passport", which you then have stamped upon arrival. It's a great way to "taste" the world without leaving your doorstep. Shame there isn't a "Sverige" though, ja? Hmm,..maybe next year?
