Driving North from Freiburg to Düsseldorf, I popped into France for the day. (God, I love that aspect of Europe) Strasbourg was the choice, and "La Petite France" was where I settled. A canal runs through the center, and I sat at this little restaurant (Aux Deux France) for a couple of hours to drink extremely strong coffee, smoke many Gauloises Blondes and watch as the tour boats passed by. It was such an absolutely perfect day, that I was tempted to purchase a bicycle at one of the many bike shops and pedal my ass to Düsseldorf, but then the medication took effect, and I remembered the car was a rental.

I love the style and humor of your pages... bien fait!
a "first kiss" like, introduction to the city. beautiful :-)
Met a cute elderly couple in a restaurant in Strasbourg once... we started to talk. She was his daughter.. he was 100 year old that day.. they were celebrating it having dinner together. I thought.. only in France.
Cute narratives and tips. Been to Strasbourg but years ago... nice to have taken this little tour here. Got any more pics & tips? :-)
I like your B&W pics.
Very touching! Alsace means a lot to me... "VIVE LA FRANCE!" said M. Hamel, in Daudet's The Last Class...
very nice page Todd I couldn't help thinking La petite France looked so much like another country, ja?
Great to see the pretty side of Strasbourg. I've only seen the grotty side from the railroad tracks. One day I'll find my pics from my trainride thru. I agree with you about b&w - the shades of grey enhance and tell much more than the flash of colour.
Great pages-B&W pics look fantastic
