This is an awesome state to go camping. If you look closely in the lower left corner of the photo along the stream, you'll see a little dot that is my tent. I did a day hike to a glacier fed lake and enjoyed a day of incredible trout fishing. The water was so clear that you could see the bottom of the lake thirty feet out from shore. You will find countless acres of pristine, untouched land - nature at it's best. I've camped in the mountains here a number of times. These photos are of my most recent trip a few years back. I didn't have the digital camera then, so these scans aren't the best quality but they give you a flavor for what you will see. If you want to take photos like these, be prepared to hike in until the blisters on your feet are bleeding. Even the best boots won't save your feet on this type of excursion. If you go, be prepared for nature to bite back! And also, please don't litter. If you do, I'll hunt you down and feed you to the bears. |
