My year in the Kingdom

Well, just starting a new job in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It's a fascinating place, made all the more so for me not being Muslim. There's always a sense of "You ain't from around here, are you, boy..." Still, I'm glad to be here, and look forward to posting pictures of the different sights and experiences here.

Pros:Stark beauty, amazing history, unparalelled opportunity
Cons:Checkpoints, terrorist actions, repression
In a nutshell:An incredible chance to see a very closed country

Interesting Saudi tips! Not on my list of places to visit, especially after seeing your photos of snakes, scorpions, etc!!!
