Hotel Mitru

This is a great place. It was cheap (about 5 bucks a night), but clean with a very helpful staff. Met some other travellers (from the Netherlands, France, England) there, and ended up hanging out with them during my stay.

Unique Qualities: Along with the hostel, they offer a variety of tours. I took the "triathalon," a mountain bike, jeep ride, and horseback tour. It was an all day thing and only cost about $25 US.

The rooms were varied...some dorm style, some private. I opted for the private room, no attached bathroom. Had to walk across the courtyard for that, but no problem...

They have a shared kitchen there so if you want to cook for yourself, that's an option. Also, there are clotheslines available, and even a pool (though at the time, it wasn't useable, as there was a dead cat in it...eww).
