St Michael’s – Chesapeake Bay

by challenger - last update: Jan 20, 2007

View on St Michaels Harbour, Chesapeake Bay
Last August (2006) we visited Washington DC and Baltimore. On our last day we had until the evening to catch our plane from DC so decided to hire a car and go down to Chesapeake Bay. The moment we hit the bay we were kicking ourselves for not assigning more time to the visit. A couple of hours just ain’t enough to take it all in. Chesapeake Bay is an amazingly beautiful part of the States that is an absolute Must See for anyone in its vicinity. Breathtakingly beautiful views wherever you look; yachts mooring in the harbour; largely unspoilt countryside; yummy sea food restaurants and historic buildings… This is a place that deserves to be explored properly and for much longer than we had time for.

What can I say? We’ll be back.

great tips. just what you'd expect from a quintessential Cheasapeake town...a maritime museum and great seafood...backed by beautiful harbor views. sounds like you had a great time.
