Michelstadt is right smack in the heart of the Odenwald, a beautiful foresty area very near Darmstadt.
Admittedly, not a lot of people have heard about it, but don't let that deter you. The place is very well worth a visit.

What a wonderful village this looks, the buildings look as if they are straight out of fairytales.
