Getting TO/AROUND: From Kandersteg you can take the Lotschberg tunnel into the South of Switzerland and to Zermatt. It takes about 10 minutes and is an interesting experience in itself (make sure you close your windows and switch the fan off as the fuel smells are pretty foul otherwise). If you are staying in Kandersteg the Guest card gives you a discount but only if ou buy in advance at the tourist info office on the main street.
