Lippe is a formerly souvereign Pricipality right east of Bielefeld. It is half the size of Luxemburg. Detmold, the capital of Lippe also is the capital of the district which includes Bielefeld. From my point of view it is an excellent place to travel from and to refuel in between journeys. The Autobahn (highway) Paris-Moscow which runs through Northern Lippe allows to reach Collogne, Berlin, The BeNeLux, France and Denmark within a few hours...

It was easy to get to Bielefeld by car, but a litle difficult to get out onto the right motorway :-)
