I have lived in St. Petersburg since 1952. This area has grown so fast...from 40,000 to 125,000 in the south part of Pinellas County to over 1.5 million in the Metro area [St. Petersburg-Clearwater-Tampa]. Our weather has a tremendous impact on living here. At noon today [2-14-2002] you could have been at the beach but tonight you need to heat to be comfortable. I live in the center of St. Petersburg but am only 5 mile from the beach, 10 minutes to downtown, and 25 minutes to Tampa. Most of the better stores are in Tampa and many of the larger employers are also located across Tampa Bay. This is a picture from N Myrtle Beach, SC at a New Years Eve 2002 party with my husband(white hat) and our friends. We saw a beach music concert-The Coastline Band and The Johnny Dollar Band.
