Malaysia is the first Asian country I visited after living in Japan for a year. Talk about culture shock! After reading the guidebooks, I was looking forward to seeing the great infusion of Chinese, Malay, and Indian culture, in this fairly wealthy country. I spent 8 days visiting 4 cities (KL, Malacca, Cameron Highlands, and Penang)! Malaysia is the only country I've visited, that I knew I would never go back to! Still the shopping, food, and experiences (that I can laugh at now that enough time has passed) made the trip worthwhile. |
