The ancient capital of China lives up to its name. I have always wanted to visit Beijing and when the opportunity arose, I jumped on it. I bought a flight from Calgary to Bangkok and the layover city was Beijing so I stayed for 3 days before continuing on my way. |
|  | Digestion I instantly fell in love with the city and its history. The culture, the sounds, the sights, the smells. But unfortunately, I speak and understand enough Mandarin to get me around and it was during the 2nd day that I realized I did not have a liking for Beijing. |
