    • For the really tight budget travelers, Khao San Road is the ideal ghetto for dirt cheap accomodations, restaurants and many more services. Rooms can be found as low as 80 Baht per night. There are well over a hundred guesthouses and hotels on this street and in the surrounding area. Take care however because prostitutes and bed bugs might cause a problem to the first time Thailand traveler.

    • First night I arrived in Bkk, I found a cheap room on Khao San because I didn't book accomodations prior to arriving. The following day, I moved out to the newer section of Bangkok, along Sukhumvit Road. Here you'll find hotels that start at 300b/night. I stayed at the Miami Hotel for 550b/night. This hotel located 30 Meters North of Sukhumvit on Soi 13 offers clean rooms, a small pool, TV and air con, just to name a few features.

     Oooooh, those fat grubs look so revolting! I have seen the insects and pupae before, but not the fat grubs. Yuck!
