My stay, for about a week, in Holland House was my best days in London.
This youth hostel allowed me to meet the most unforgettable people I met during my trip, with who I shared my visit of the city, every day.
I've been welcomed like no other hostels or B&B. So far.
Unique Qualities: Rated 3 stars on YHA site.
The hostel is right in Holland Park, a park in the western part of London. It feels like sleeping in the country. It's very quiet.
Two wings can be found at the hostel, one of them has been built in 1607 (where I slept!) .
It has picnic tables outside, plus a cafeteria, which gives you the choice of eating inside or outside.
You can also cook your own meals in the kitchen the hostel has, or buy a meal at the cafeteria.
Breakfast is included.
No curfew.

After tasting Holland park and some B&B, I was quite disappointed about Earls Court. The breakfasts were horrible and the cafeteria so small that you have to eat fast to let someone else sit after.
Unique Qualities: The rooms were smaller, and it has a garden, and these were the only good things about it.

I arrived in London at about 4pm, and 3 hours before I had no idea that I would be there later this day! Oxford House welcomed me, and got a single room with a floor-shared bathroom. The day after, there was no single room left, but they gave me a double one for the price of a single.
Unique Qualities: On Cambridge street, a tranquil hotel, family run. Two or three pubs around - obviously - and just very cozy.
