    Second time in Paris, I went with no organisation. It was 4pm and I had nowhere to go. Somebody in Hamburg told me to ask for a kind of place about youth hostels(thanks to Bettina!). There was a window with a counter : They were finding a place to stay with a cheap fee, depending on the price of the room you were paying.

    I asked to be near St-Germain-Des-Prés boulevard: they find me a youth hostel just the other side of the Seine, almost in front of Notre-Dame's, with Ste-Genevieve's on the top of the coast back the youth hostel.

    Anyway, you can always find that counter in Gare du Nord in Paris.

    You'll probably pay about 2% the rate of the room.

    Unique Qualities: Cheap fees for booking.
