Having visited Krakow mid-winter, I feel that I missed out on a) hoards of tourists and b) a lot of the good atmosphere that accompanies hoards.
Despite this, I found Krakow to be absolutely beautiful and many people who I spoke to put it on a parr with Prague (I disagree with this point, having fallen madly in love with Prague, nothing can live up to it!). My friend and I found that the cheapest way to get here was by student air travel to Berlin, and trains to Krakow via Posnan. Now, however, Ryanair have started flying to Krakow - hooray!
I'm afraid there are no photos here, but if you see my tip on Zakopane, you'll see whay, 'sniff sniff'. I do have a few, but I need to get to a scanner to post them up. Now that Ryanair fly there though, I'll be able to go again and take a whole bunch more. |
