I am currently living in South Korea teaching English in the public school system. I am part of a government program called EPIK (English Program in Korea) that was started in the late '90s and was designed to increase students' speaking and listening skills. Most of us are placed in poorer rural communities where most students don't have the opportunity nor access to native English speakers. I teach at a coed high school in Yeosu. My contract with the government is for one year, terminating next October 16th. |
