A trip into Venice is truly a trip into another world. No matter how many times you have seen the gondolas cruising the canals from your TV and no matter how many pictures of this place you have seen, nothing will prepare you for what you feel when you actually visit. It is so strange to be in a place where water is the only form of transportation other than walking. This place is a haven of romance. Spend the money and cruise the canals in a gondola with your loved one at night. Have the gondolier sing you an operatic love ballad. You will not forget this moment. Make sure you sneak a kiss under every bridge you pass. Spend some time in Piazza San Marco. Take your picture with the pigeons as they frolic around you. Eat the food. Meet the people. Venice has so many things to enjoy. It is worth a trip solely devoted to itself.
