6 years ago I went to Florence for the first time, to learn Italian in one of the numerous language schools. I fell in love with this great city right away and although there are loads of tourist throughout the whole year you just have to walk a few steps away from the main sights to the real Florence. I was lucky to find some great friends in Florence and nearby Scandicci, so now I visit them at least once a year. Sometimes I have the feeling to know Florence better than Stuttgart, probably because I do a lot more by foot there. My florentine friends come to visit me at least once a year too, to "soak in" lots of beer at the Stuttgart Beerfest. |
