Nightlife Spot: Al vino Al vino
This is not a place to party and dance but something for people who love wine and talking. Every time I go to this enoteca I meet interesting people living in this neigbourhood and learn something new about life in Rome. They offer a wide selection of italian wines by the glass and the bottle and also have a small menue.

Nightlife Spot: Gilda
The first time I walked into the Guilda was by mistake, we had looked for another club someone had recommended to us, didn't find it and found "Gilda". It has two parts the bar "cru" with fantastic but expensive cocktails and the disco "gilda". Its a great place to see beautiful people, the latest fashion and some really crazy outfits and dance the whole night long. They often have live performances, table dancers etc.

Nightlife Spot: Vineria Reggio
Vineria Reggio is a great enoteca located directly on Campo di Fiori. They have a huge selection of wines by the bottle and offer around 30 different wines by the glass too. If you drink your glass of wine inside at the bar you pay 1 Euro less by the glass than if your served outside. It's great to sit inside and watch people but its fantastic sitting outside in the evening overlooking the piazza.

Nightlife Spot: Gran Teatro
If your in Rome while they are playing "Tosca Amore Disperato" go! go! go! It's a new and modern production of Tosca by the Italian singer and songwriter Lucio Dalla. I went there in November 2004 and it was just marvelous. They are playing it in the Gran Teatro which is outside the center close to the Olympic Stadium. It's quite difficult to get there with public transport so I recommend taking a cab, after a 1hr odysee with the bus we took one from Piazza del Popolo for about 12 Euro. Very important!! ask the taxi driver either for a phone number to call a cab or even ask him to pick you up again after the show. The Gran Teatro is in the middle of nowhere and its almost impossible to grab a taxi out there (took us half an hour) I bought the tickets online through ticket one, which worked very fine. They had a special ticket counter for online tickets I just had to show my credit card and got the tickets http://www.ticketone.it/
