County Kilkenny Travel Guide: 363 reviews and 826 photos

Kilkenny is both a city and a county and while most visitors spend their time in the city there is plenty to see in the rest of the county. No trip to Kilkenny is really complete without seeing sites such as Jerpoint Abbey, Kells Priory, Inistioge, Dunmore Caves or Graiguenamanagh. All of these sites are without easy reach of the city though public transport is limited so it’s best if you have your own car.

Pros and Cons
  • Pros:Historic sites, picturesque riverside villages
  • Cons:Limited public transport
  • In a nutshell:There’s much more to Kilkenny than just the city

Excellent page! St Mary's Church and the bridge in the village with so strange name Graiguenamanagh are very attractive. Thanks Barry for sharing!
