Family Holiday in San Francisco

by barryg23 - last update: Aug 28, 2007

I was in California in 1995 for two weeks on a family holiday. We started our trip in San Francisco and spent about 5 days here in all before heading south. How I wish I had brought a camera as my memories of this trip are hazy! I do want to return someday soon and see San Francisco again (and to take some pictures this time!)

If you are ever back out this way, let me know. It's nice to find another VT "addict" though I have long refrained from using that word. Should we start going to meetings to absolve ourselves from this addiction? Oh, yes, many of us do!

If you love Vertigo and are ever in the city again you need to check it out playing on the big screen in the Castro neighborhood. It's a very charming theatre with a blind man playing the organ before the show starts.

San Francisco was a blast for me - one of my 3 favourite cities in the USA (add San Diego and Seattle).

The trains are easy but you missed out the Cable Cars - they are fun if you hang on the outside.
