  • The Millennium stadium was built in 1999 to host the Rugby World Cup final. Unlike stadia in other cities, this imposing structure is located right in the centre of town. It's one of the first thing you see when you arrive at the station and it has become a definite landmark in Cardiff.

Time to head back to Cardiff Barry and check out the exciting new architecture by the bay. Some good places to have a beer there too ; )

First time I've noticed your Cardiff Page too! BTW, Cardiff's cathedral is several miles outside the city, the picture on your tip is of St John's Church. Great photo of the inside of the stadium!!

Barry, honest I didn't see your pages until today, yet I seem to have been following in your footsteps- apart from the rugby. Or is it that the centre of cardiff is like Rome: all the good places in a small area.

Great to see a rejuvenated Cardiff, it sure looks to be full of interesting places to visit. Gone are the old industries. Are there still wonderful choirs?
