Rugby | Inside the Millennium Stadium |
I was in Cardiff recently for the European Rugby Cup Final between Munster from Ireland and Leicester of England. Unfortuanately, Leicester Tigers were too strong and they won an exciting match 15-9. My seat, at the Millennium Stadium, was 3 rows from the top and i couldn't see either of the big screens so, from time to time, it was difficult to follow the game. Nevertheless, the atmosphere was electric and it's one of the nicest stadiums i have been to. I was at the Old Cardiff Arms Pary in 1991 watching Ireland v Wales but memories of that are dim so this was like a first visit to Cardiff. |

sue_stone Tue Nov 28, 2006 19:39 UTC Time to head back to Cardiff Barry and check out the exciting new architecture by the bay. Some good places to have a beer there too ; ) | aaaarrgh Fri Jun 9, 2006 23:31 UTC First time I've noticed your Cardiff Page too! BTW, Cardiff's cathedral is several miles outside the city, the picture on your tip is of St John's Church. Great photo of the inside of the stadium!! | uglyscot Fri Mar 31, 2006 20:23 UTC Barry, honest I didn't see your pages until today, yet I seem to have been following in your footsteps- apart from the rugby. Or is it that the centre of cardiff is like Rome: all the good places in a small area. | dabidc Tue Oct 18, 2005 04:18 UTC Great to see a rejuvenated Cardiff, it sure looks to be full of interesting places to visit. Gone are the old industries. Are there still wonderful choirs? |
