Stratford Uncovered Stradford-upon-avon is one of England's nicest towns and is best known as the birthplace and home of William Shakespeare. It's a popular tourist destination, especially in summer. Stratford is small enough to explore in one day, yet there is enough here to make it a must see place for any visitor to England |
Ye Olde World of Stratford “What birthplace here! And relics there, Abuse from each! Ye browling blouses! Each picks my pocket, tis not fair, A strangers curse on both your houses.” |
I've been twice to Stratford and my most recent trip was in November 2002 for a weekend getaway. We did all the touristy stuff and went to 'The Winter's Tale' at the RSC. |
