Despite being one of Portugal's major towns there is very much a provincial feel to Evora, famous for it's Roman temple and Moorish streets. Much smaller than Lisbon, most of what you'll want to see in Evora lies inside the town walls. Evora is a great place stop off for a day or two, perhaps on your way to exploring the Alentejo region. In general it's a very relaxing place and immediately likeable. |
