Tarifa is a fairly laid-back place, with excellent nightlife and a very nice old town. Thanks to the the strong easterly and westerly winds which blow here, it's also a popular destination for surfers.
We had the briefest of stops here on our way to Morocco. Though we only spent one evening here, we still managed to explore most of the old town and to visit a couple of pubs. Tarifa is the southern most point of mainland Europe and it's a very short boat-ride across to Tangier. Most people cross from Algeciras but Tarifa is a much nicer place...which is exactly why we chose it. |

LoriPori Mon Dec 11, 2006 14:28 UTC Yes Tarifa is a fun town. And full of history. We had a pizza there too and it was delicious. | SLLiew Tue Nov 21, 2006 13:46 UTC After a few drinks, every town looks quite the same, don't they. Cheers, SL | Kuznetsov_Sergey Wed Jun 7, 2006 17:15 UTC Your Tarifa-page, Barry, is great! But where are your Barcelona and Granada pages? Are they still sleeping? I tryed to exemine these pages but they are almost empty. Don't be lazy! Privet from Moscow and Spain. | sue_stone Tue Feb 21, 2006 08:13 UTC Perhaps I should head this direction for my next Spanish jaunt! |
