I didn't visit Italy until the summer of 2003, but I enjoyed that trip so much I returned twice in the next 12 months. On our first trip we started in Rome, followed by the Bay of Naples and Sicily. Next visit was at the end of a holiday in Slovenia, when we crossed to Venice and spent a couple of days exploring. Summer 2004 was spent in the north this time, probably my favourite trip of the 3.
