No visit to Morocco is complete without seeing Marrakech, probably the most fascinating city in the country, with its intoxicating atmosphere, endless noise and beautiful colours.
Its central square, Djemaa el-Fna, is the focal point of life the city. It's full of activity all day long, most notably in the evenings when it becomes one big outdoor party.
On a short visit you'll just about be able to take in the main sights. But stay longer and you'll discover some quieter spots in the medina, such as the Koutoubia gardens, or further afield the Menara gardens and Jardin Majorelle. |
