|  | Beauty of Paris Paris is many things to a variety of different people: It has been a home to writers, philosphers and artists; it's a city with a fascinating history, with events such as the French Revolution, and WW2 having left their marks on the city; it's a city which has always been associated with romance, literature, sophistication and glamour. |
Me & Paris Paris is the one city I have kept returning to down the years. I've been here eleven times in all, including three recent consecutive New Year's Eve visits. I've always enjoyed my visits here - on my first visit I did the usual touristy things like Eiffel Tower, Louvre, etc, while on subsequent visits I've tried to find the less touristy but equally interesting sights. On this page, they are roughly divided into must-see activities and off-the-beaten-path. | | |

shakespeare and co. did not publish Ulysses. the bookstore was started in 1951. a different publishing co. with the same name published joyce's book. that company went out of business long ago. |
