Bienvenue a Paris

Beauty of Paris

Paris is many things to a variety of different people: It has been a home to writers, philosphers and artists; it's a city with a fascinating history, with events such as the French Revolution, and WW2 having left their marks on the city; it's a city which has always been associated with romance, literature, sophistication and glamour.

Me & Paris

Paris is the one city I have kept returning to down the years. I've been here eleven times in all, including three recent consecutive New Year's Eve visits. I've always enjoyed my visits here - on my first visit I did the usual touristy things like Eiffel Tower, Louvre, etc, while on subsequent visits I've tried to find the less touristy but equally interesting sights. On this page, they are roughly divided into must-see activities and off-the-beaten-path.

Pros:"Simply the greatest city in the world"
Cons:"It has lost some of its magic."
In A Nutshell:"My favourite city in all the world.....I will live here some day."

Great pages. Your love for this city is obvious. We all have a very special we like to go back to every so often. I love the 'drunk' picture with 4 Eiffel towers in the back ground!

Great to see you can keep going back to the same City and finding different things to do - i did the same with Amsterdam - but last time also got away from City - went Beach - did some Sumo wrestling. Off the beaten track!

Oui, j'espère que je puisse me retourner là-bas cet été de Philippine ou print temps européen. Merci beaucoup, mon ami! =)

shakespeare and co. did not publish Ulysses. the bookstore was started in 1951. a different publishing co. with the same name published joyce's book. that company went out of business long ago.
