Bremen is a lovely city in the North of Germany, not far from Hamburg. We spent a day here on a day trip from Hamburg in March 2005. The old town of Bremen is very beautiful, in particular around Marktplatz. I also enjoyed exploring the medieval Schnoorviertel quarter. The highlight of the trip was a visit to the Beck's brewery, where we got to try a delicious beer called Krauser Becks. As you can't get this beer outside of the Bremen area I have the perfect excuse for returning someday. |
