On your way to Prague Castle, near Lions Gate there is a beautiful Royal Summer Garden just outside the moat. In the Summer Garden the Royal Summer Palace lies, in beautiful Italian renaissance, from 1538 - 1563. From the Summer Garden you also have a magnificent view of the Cathedral of St Vitus, just inside the castle walls.

At the gate, you could see two beautifully uniformed sentries standing alert without getting impress from thousands of tourist taking there photo and staring them. My question if I could make a photo was answered by an almost imperceptible blink. Rain or shine they are standing there.

Another beautiful church is Prague. An early Baroque structure, built in 1611, and rebuilt in 1644, this church is famous for its wax effigy known as the Prague Child Jesus donated by Polyxena of Lobkovic and brought to Prague at the end of the 16th century. The name of this church sounds like one of our Pub in England.

The original Charles University building, established in 1348. A Gothic bay chapel of 137O was rebuilt in Baroque style in 1718. At present, Charles University graduation ceremonies take place there. The windows look beautiful from outside.

This is the statue of Czech poet and writer, Julius Zeyer, who was born in 1841. He has plenty of respect in local people's eye. The statue is very interesting, with cave looking impression, surrounded in bushes. I was in Prague in off peak time and did not see any one around this.

Vaclavske Nam has plenty to offer, it is centre point of all tourist attractions. If you are feeling lazy and splash out some cash, than why not taking a ride and feel like a royalty. I am too fit and energetic to take one of those rides. There are many people who would queue up to get a ride but you wouldn’t see me in that queue.
