WHAT A WONDERFUL TIME I HAD

by Imbi - last update: Dec 21, 2002

I arrived in Zagreb from Ljubljana in the midday of August. The travelling was not really scenic but I was glad that journey was not long. When I left London I had a different opinion about Ljubljana and Zagreb. I was in the impression that Ljubljana is a modern and stylish city than Zagreb but I was surprised after visiting Zagreb that it is no different from any of the western European cities. Zagreb city reflects the cocktail of new and old cultures. The historical buildings of Zagreb tell you the story of its own in its language, you just need to try and understand it. It does not look at all after looking that city that it had gone through so much turmoil and wavering not long ago. I think that, it will not be long when Zagreb city would be one of the focal cities of Europe .
