My stay in Venice was for three days but in those three days I had spent half of my holiday money. Luckily I found a cheap flight deal from London to Venice and no second thoughts, I just booked the flight. I arrived in the late morning of sunny summer. Sun was shining and temperature was around 29 C, it is a bit really hot side for me. I came out of the airport and start looking around for yellow bus, which is rather cheap to get to the city. I tired to communicate with few some local people but our communication was the ancient style communication when people used to talk with the help of their hands and expressions. Never mind, I found my ways to the bus stop. The bus arrived after half an hour and it was no doubt comfortable. Real value for money. It took around 45 minutes to get city. Again my problem of not knowing the local language let me down but my instinct took me to the right direction to the water bus stop. Next landmark was to get to the hostel I booked. After the struggle of one hour and my determination to get to my hostel, I got there. In that process I had to buy two different maps of Venice, as the first was not very detailed. I really enjoyed my stay in Venice and rate this city as must see city. It is a different from all others. So if you have money and courage and stamina to walk at least two miles in right direction and five miles to find your way back, then definitely visit Venice. |
