Still standing in my memory and for always!

A tribute to the WTC-centre-victims and hero's

In my wildest nightmares I wouldn't have guessed what would happen exactly five years later. Therefor a poem:

Still standing!

Towering higher then high, maybe little arrogant
This picture and the idea never comes to an end

An idiot trying to get a fanatic message across
Result the opposit, many innocent died, what a loss

Let us not answer with fanatism, then good turns bad
If we have the heart: forgive, but never ever forget

Let them know that what they did was wrong, so wrong
We have to unite, listen to eachother, stay strong

Remember who we are, for what we stand and stood
Getting better by starting with ourselves doing good

It has nothing to do with religion or state of a nation
But the ultimate dream: peace throughout generations

Whatever aggresion, whatever crime, do not bend
Together we'll overcome, let's go hand in hand

and at least in my mind these magnificent white towers
... still stand!
