Technical miracle in the Colorado-riverbed. We already knew that Americans like wasting that what they think they have enough. Hooverdam is a huge hydro-electric plant and an impressive dam provides electricity for many many people if not ... that most electric is routed to Las Vegas and thrown all over the desert for entertainment. Behind the dam the lake Mead-area has floaded an enormous section of the Colorado-canyon and is now used as recreational area. Here it is truely beautiful and any watersportsfriend would find paradise in the deserts of the SouthWestern-states of the US. Our travels go on to ... the gambling-capitol of the world. |
