"Sedona, the easy start in canyon-country" Sedona by Pavlik_NL
Sedona Travel Guide: 870 reviews and 2,015 photos
Sedona and it's red-rock-formation are a perfect entry to canyon country. The landscape is the typical Western-moviescenery and just North of the town a smaller canyon hides in the landscape. Oakcreek-canyon for the visitors that don't want to gaze at natural monument in crowds of tourists. Here you can silently walk through green forest with on both sides the high walls rising up from the creek that finds it's way on the bottom. Sedona is still on a safe distance from the famous national parcs and radiates peace and quiet for it's warmly welcomed visitors.

Planning a trip to Phoenix soon and now Oak Creek Canyon is on my must see list. Natural, quiet, uncrowded -- who could ask for anything more?
I'm a huge Sedona fan! Stunning place. If you go again try seeing it by helicoptor or bi-plain. Incredible. Nice page!
Great tips and stunning pictures - next a must see (rocks I mean - not necessarily a town hehe).
