On the Sea of Azov's coast | Beaches with pinkish-orange "sand" on the Azov Sea |
Temryuk is a very strange town, if you can call it a town. Everywhere you go, it looks like a countryside village. Along the main road and seaside it runs over an enormous surface and is therefor built very widespread. This also has resulted in the fact that most people have quiet large gardens and keep chickens, gooses, ducks, rabbits, goats, sheep etc. etc. The town however has appr. 150.000 inhabitants and a harbour that now-a-days is growing prosporously. Along the coastline are sandy beaches - often in a somewhat peculiar pink colour. Inland are enormous swamps and lagune-lakes (so called "leman's"). Recreational activities variate from camping along the waterside to the very popular hunting (ducks) and fishing. In this town live our grandmother (Ilja's great-grandmother!), uncle, aunt and cousins. |

| | A place for four generations! Recreational activities variate from camping along the waterside to the very popular hunting (ducks) and fishing. In this town live Irina's grandmother, uncle, aunt and cousins. And yes, by the way, you read it well ... Irina's grandmother, which actually means that this is Ilja's great grandmother. Four generation together ... where does one see that in these times? |
