Looking in the mirror of America

What do you see?
In stead of a huge country made up of 51 states ... a tiny village within the Dutch province of Limburg.
Instead of the mayor power in the present world, being present at any conferencetabel ... an unknown place that itself is even part of an unknown municipality.
And then to pop the question, who was there first in name? America the village or America the continent. It's like asking who was first: the chicken or the egg ...

For those who can't believe it

The gateway to America ...

Here's the proove. This village is really excisting. In the area called the "Peel" on the Limburgian side of the border with the province Northern Brabant. It's a part of the municipality "Horst on the Maas". This part of The Netherlands is 121,93 km2 large and has 28.472 inhabitants. A small part of them lives in America.

Now, who said that America was protestant. Yes, it's christian, but Roman Catholic. Not only because of the American church, but also because it's traditions in Carnaval.

Haha, funny page! It seems that I was lucky to see quite another America :-). Did you know that we have: Venice, Paris and Rome in Poland but no America (as I know).
