Getting TO/AROUND: By train it is easy as Arnhem is a junction of railways. The EC-trains from Frankfurt, Köln to Amsterdam stops in Arnhem. By car Arnhem is at the junction of four highways. Dutch East-West-mainroute A12 and A15. North-South-route A50 and the outboundroute to the South (Nijmegen) A325. Parking in city is expensive and difficult. Better is to park at the transferium at the Gelredome-stadion. This is a lot cheaper and includes busfare to and from the citycentre. Arnhem has the only Trolleybus-network in The Netherlands, which connects all winddirection with one another.
Again, the bike is the best way to go through Arnhem and especially enjoy the forests in the North (National Park Hoge Veluwe) and the riverlands in the South. The (only trolleybusses in The Netherlands) public transport is adequat and brings you anywhere you want. Taxi are very expensive. On the Rhine there are various rivertrips.

Getting TO/AROUND: Arnhem citycentre is not that big and even taking a part of the wonderful park Sonsbeek could be connected to a great walk around. Start - if I might suggest - could be the old market, where parking normally is quite possible for cars. Coming in by train also has it's connecting to a circular walk that shows all the highlights of Arnhem centre.
