    • The only place that looks intresting, but ... you don't want to end up here. Arnhem has one out of four architectural specific buildings that are in use as a prison. Other towns that have them are Scheveningen, Tilburg and I believe Haarlem. This prison is a large round building with around it a high circular wall. Inside the cells are around a centre court so one has a global view on all doors. The dome of the prison is a significant structure on Arnhem's West-side.

    • Though one of the most modern in it's kind, the Rijnstate hospital is for tourists of course not a place to really end up in. Before Arnhem had four different hospitals located around town. Now the huge Rijnstate hospital offers all facilities necessary for the town, together with a policlinic in the Southern part (South of the Rhine).
