Pressed in between the living-neighborhoods of the Southern parts of Arnhem lies the village of Elden. Despite the growing forces of the town, it kept it's village-character alive through the last century. With it's windmill, village-square and ackres, fields and greenhouses, it still shows a strong agricultural past and present. The busy attended harvest-festivities in late summer proove this, as well as the open green surroundings in between mostly seperate houses and even some farms. Watch the gardens and see how well they are maintained. The connection with cultivating the land and nature itself is still deeply within the peoples soul. Even the kindergarten and elementary school here have playfull lessons in growing crop and taking care of plants.animals. Ilja will enjoy that privilige soon as well.

Nice that in the shaddow of almost aggressive progress, things can stay the same within and life still calmly flows on within Elden (district of Arnhem).
