It's not the size that matters

The Grand-dukedom of Luxembourg is the centre of Europe and therefor run over by all surrounding countries. Happy we are that the bound between The Netherlands and Luxembourg is still very tight (watch the flags for example), also because the Grand-Duke and our royalty are directly related. As far as I know - the only thing that splitted Luxembourg from The Netherlands was the fact that in their constitution told that never a woman could take the thrown. As Wilhelmina became queen, Luxembourg went independant under the Grand-Duke.
Oh, don't forget to investigate a little the language from this small country (yes, they have their own language!). If you listen carefully (and it doesn't matter what mayor European language you speak yourself) you will find words from your own. Letsenborgish has been influenced by so many languages that the language is a mix of French, German, Dutch and even some other languages.
Luxembourg-city is maybe a small capitol, but it's natural position is amazing. Built on either site of a deep precipice with beautiful bridges stretching over it. In the rocky walls of the abyss are many kazamats (tunnels in a fortress-like system). All the invading countries have dug them out from the solid stone in a futile attempt to keep this place and country in their domination. Luxembourg enchantes it's visitors in many way and again it shows that you do not have to be big, large or huge ... to be special.
