In the valley of the Inn are bridges: Innsbruck | Double Olympic town Innsbruck capitol of Tirol |
Any time of year (so not only for wintersport or summerwalks) Innsbruck is beautiful. It is a lively university-town with the best imaginable mountain-settings around. The Nordkette (Northern Chain) hangs over the Tirolian capitol and with the colourful houses on the river Inn in your view, you can watch that for hours. The river runs buy with the sound of eternity and snow on the tops contratst with the (blue) sky. Innsbruck was more then once an Olympic city and still the main activity that the town radiates is sport. Next to the enormous amounts of facilities for sports, the Innsbruck inhabitants are incredably sportive. You can see them walk, run, bike, skate (on wheels) and be busy outside with an activity that will make you sweat. In wintertime skiing is added to this variety of activities and with six big ski-areas in the neighborhood, you can discover a week long new sloopes. |
