The Austrian skiregion "Zillertal" is one of the best reached from the "Inntal", that can be called the infrastructural enclosure of Tirol. Starting with the places Fügen and Hochfügen it ends on one side with the glaciers of Hintertux and on the other side with famous Königsleiten and Gerlos-pass. The most (in)famous skiresort is no doubt Mayrhofen, but throughout the valley there are around 50 places with their own small or wide skipistons. Kaltenbach is a mediocre one and offers it's beginning and progressed ski-visitors very good skipistons. From the pistons one enjoys a magnificent view over a large part of the "Zillertal" and the main stretches have artificial snow-posibilities in cases of periods that bring less snow then average.
From Kramsach, this place is used for the more progressive skiing after a few days lessons on the quiet pistons in Kramsach itself. It's only 25 minutes by skibus, which runs throughout the whole valley and connects all places with pistons.
